dbaze, dono, and i were on a zoom call tonight. we planned 2 trips for next year. one foreign, and one domestic. we agreed to go to tokyo for the foreign trip, but when asked about the domestic, i suggested hawaii. dbaze said hawaii was like going to another country. i laughed and told him it’s the united states so how could it be like going to another country. little did i know, when i googled the location of hawaii to the states, they’re literally in the middle of the ocean. i never knew that. i always thought hawaii was what cuba was to florida in terms of location, but boy was i wrong. despite the distance, it is like going to another country, but my ego wouldn’t let me admit it. man, who tf knew hawaii was that far away??
