i asked a coworker how she knew her husband was the one. they’ve been married for 22 years, and i love asking this question because i love hearing love stories. her eyes lit up as she began telling me she moved to hilton head for the summer when she was 21. she worked at this golf cafe type joint and her would-be husband would come in frequently. that’s how they met. she spoke minutes on end with such enthusiasm about her husband, her youth, and her nostalgia. it was beautiful. i enjoyed hearing every second of it. she told me her 20’s were the best times of her life and that if in heaven they allow you to go back and relive a part of your life, she would choose her 20’s without a doubt.
i need that energy, especially with how old i’ve been feeling in my 20′s lately.
