head-resting, 3.5.24

one of my favorite things bagel does is he will rest his head on you from time. bagel’s not a big cuddler, nor is he very affectionate, but he will rest his head on you. i was laying down browsing some writing earlier tonight. bagel came over, jumped on the bed, and rested his head on my lower back. i was thinking of getting up to get some food, but since he fell asleep like that, i got lost on tiktok for 20 minutes as i didn’t want to wake him up. when it was time to get up, he was a good sport about it, as he always is. i can’t remember the last time he fell asleep with his head on me, but tonight was a moment that brought me back to the night i first got him and he fell asleep with his head on the bolster bed i bought for him from petsmart that chilly night in november of 2012.
