i had a meeting with the cbo today. i don’t know him very well, but i always wave and speak to him when i see him. he asked what my long-term plans were in our meeting. i told him i didn’t necessarily have one, and that i wanted to be a writer. he said his last boss used to get on his case because he didn’t have a specific career trajectory. i’d say it panned out as chief business officer is big time, but he told me sometimes having no plan can be a good thing as it opens your mind to things you may never have thought of before. he has his phd in chemistry, but ended up on the business side. i got a bachelor’s in biology and am hoping to end up on the creative side, the grammy side, the number one streamed artist of spotify side.
ha, a long way to go, but maybe a long ways away isn’t as long as i’d once thought.
