walking bagel tonight, i crossed the road in front of our house and saw a frog on the street. i thought he was dead, but when i approached him, his eyes were wide open. i noticed blood stains adjacent to him along with him breathing heavily. i stood next to him so cars wouldn’t run him over. after a few moments of google searching, when the streets cleared, i ran inside, got gloves (wet them), and picked him up to safety.

because he was immobile, i brought him to my bathroom. when i flipped him over, both his legs were cut deep. the cuts were symmetrical, almost as if someone had did it on purpose. i cleaned him with spring water and put neosporin on his cuts. i put him on a napkin underneath a box with a cutout in my garden tub. according to research, people have said he is probably stressed. i don’t debate that, but with it about to rain tonight and him not being able to move, i thought it would be better to keep him for a day or two until his wounds heal and he can begin moving again.

i’ll check on him in the morning before i go to work tomorrow and see where we will take it from there.
