after lunch at orchid, chan and i facetimed mom
and dad. dad was working with pallets for his garden. apparently he had been
out there for so long his neck was looking crispy lmao. i don’t know what it
is, but when we are out in the sun for hours at a time, the neck is the first
thing that goes. dad was on a mission to finish, so we cut the ft short. later
in the evening, chan, brian, andrew, and i went to target. as we were
self-checking out, a kind white woman asks if we had spent time with our dad’s
today. chan and i told her he lives in boston, but we face timed him after
lunch. she said it was sweet and to take advantage of his time while he is
still here. she asked how old we were and when we told her, she said dad still
has a good amount of time here still. i know she meant well, but the wording
was off to me as i don’t want to think about a world without dad. dad is hands
down the goat of all goats. the world is a better place because of him, dad
changed the world!
all i want to do in life is be like my dad.
if i can do that, the whole world wins.
