dad had a doctor’s appointment, so he left early.
because of this, uncle dave drove me home. uncle dave and i grabbed some
cookies before we hopped on the road to go home. we talked about california,
gangs, family history, and romance. at one point, he said he dated a woman
named carol. it made me laugh because of how he brought her up. uncle dave said
“you may not remember, but i dated a woman named carol.” for context,
my parents met uncle dave in lincoln, nebraska where i was born. when we moved
to durham, i was about 14 months or something like that. so how would i
remember uncle dave? i was a baby at the time lmaooo.
when we got home i asked if he wanted to come in, to which he responded by saying he had to get going. i told him i’d see him soon and to drive safe as i laughed about the part of our conversation involving carol.
