for the first time in some years, i watched it’s complicated tonight. i forgot how lovely jane’s home is. it’s a beautiful ranch with such a homey kitchen. i thought about when i first saw the film when i was 16 or so, and how her home inspired me to live my best life. my goal in life is to build my dream home and have enough money to support my family and my addiction to sports. i was reminded of how i felt then, while watching jane talk to her girlfriends in her kitchen and living room. being a homebody, i’ll likely spend much more time in my house than most others, so i have to create a setting where i’m at peace, inspired, and comfortable all in one.
