at dinner tonight, we were all reading our fortunes aloud. mom got one that said something along the lines of a problem getting bigger, what has she done. crazy because she’s making prahok and she’s kinda running into some problems because she’s making so much. it might not seem like it, but it made everybody laugh. chan said normally fortunes are positive, but hers wasn’t. ahahahahaha. my grandpa’s was something about a pleasant trip is coming soon, and i thought that meant a trip to the casino. mine was something about wearing my heart on my sleeve, which fits. fortunes are fortunes, and once in a blue moon, they’re more than generalizations. or perhaps they still are.
perhaps i believe in fortunes like these hoes believe in horoscopes.
maybe them and i are more alike than i’d like to acknowledge.
but that’s for another day.
