instead of going grocery shopping while hungry, i decided to grab a bite to eat before. i was going to hit cfa, but thought to myself, why not try something new? i went to freddy’s which was closer to walmart to eat. i got a burger and fries with a soda. they had pepsi machines, so i made the soda i used to make while working at andy’s. so good. as i was eating, the manager came and asked how everything was. she was speaking to the booth in front of me, and turns out, it’s one of the kid’s birthday. she makes her rounds then goes to the intercom to announce his birthday. everyone in the restaurant sings happy birthday to him. it was joyous. they were playing early to mid-2000’s music. kids were coming in with their parents after sports games. there was a family with a kid in pajamas who rolled through to get something to eat. the vibes reminded me of home.
i get so caught up in life sometimes, i forget how wonderful everything can be.
