out of my 15+ years of being a san diego fan, i’ve never cried after a game. that is, until tonight. i couldn’t hold in my tears when the game ended. when phil threw the last interception, the replay showed his reaction and he just collapsed. he took his helmet off and put it back on halfway before heading to the sideline. man, i want so much for philip as i’m sure he does for himself, too. he’s one of my childhood idols (i’m 26 now!!). i know the media is going to go wild tomorrow, considering the circumstances of his last two games which so happened to be in primetime. although we are 4-7, we are not out of the race yet. i’ll always stand by phil no matter what. he’s carried this franchise for so long, and because of two poor outings, in which he isn’t to blame completely, everybody is writing him off? nope. not me. nunc coepi. time to bounce back. phil is going to ride off into the sunset as a superbowl champion and superbowl mvp.
bet dat, book it.
