seeing as i got new wheels for the sequoia in march, the old tires and rims have been taking up space in the garage. i decided to list them on craigslist for $145 as i figured prospective buyers would bargain. i got my current set of rims for $80, so that’s all i really wanted in return. someone hit me on my email from greensboro. we set up a time and place to meet which was earlier today at 2pm in the parking lot of the neighborhood walmart off north tryon. the guy pulls up and turns out he’s driving a 2004 white sequoia. it’s an older asian man and he was so kind. he commented on my sequoia, and asked how many miles. i told him 170k and he said his has 250k. i told him i would help him unload the tires and he said he didn’t need help as i might be busy. i thought that was sweet of him! i helped him load and unload the tires regardless. i told him to drive safely back to greensboro. he paid me $145 no haggling, and the bills were all real. as i pulled off, he smiled and waved.
this was as smooth as a craigslist meet up could have been.
safe to say i’m thankful.
