i looked up a new restaurant to eat at. i’m trying to try 1 new restaurant a week. i’m hoping this introduces me to new food and to the roads around north shore. i came across a southern bbq joint in tewksbury. i walked in and they were playing live music. i’m personally not a fan of live music while eating, but they had baked beans on the menu so i figured i’d put up with it. i walked in and stood at the host stand for like 3 minutes. i caught eye to eye with a bartender, a waitress, and another worker. they didn’t come up so i said fuck it. i looked up american food and there was a restaurant 0.2 miles away. i pulled up and the lady was so kind at the host stand. my waiter was incredibly nice as well. i ordered onion rings, a cheeseburger, and fries. there was a mellow ambiance about the restaurant. i could hear the bar behind me, but at the same time, it was peaceful eating. the onion rings were so, so good. the fries were hot off the fryer, and the burger was actually damn good. everything was fresh and delicious.
probably better than what those baked beans would have been.
