from injuries, to the offensive line, to the switching of offensive coordinators half-way through the season, to going 0-6 in the division, this season was rough. phil’s post-game presser got to me. he almost broke down, and man, watching him these last 14 years has been such a pleasure. i want phil back with his shoulder pads under bolts next year so bad. this can’t be the end of him in a chargers uniform. we’ve got all the pieces to win a title except for an offensive line. if we give phil time to throw, he will carve out elite defenses no question. his career may have been filled with close calls and heartbreaks thus far, but i believe the football gods will bless him with a title before it’s all said and done. perhaps even next year.
#17 in his 17th season as superbowl lv mvp.
sounds like poetic justice to me.
