my dad told me he needed to call his dad to check up on him while we were eating dinner on the island. as soon as he said that, grandpa called him. he had got out of the hospital due to heartburn. grandpa spent a few days there before getting cleared to go home. it makes me sad my grandparents are getting older. i know life can’t last forever, but there’s never enough time with people you love. i’m lowkey kind of jealous of people who have extended family around in their area. having cousins is like having extra siblings, and the more the merrier. i’m hoping we can visit this summer to catch up and meet his new golden retriever, rose.
it’ll be such a good family reunion.
