as odd as it sounds, it was snowing in charlotte today. i had a half-day at work, and when i got home, i walked a short walk with btg. i fell asleep and when i woke up it was 6:29pm! i turned the television on and duke was down to unc by double digits with 10 minutes left in the first half. i was taken back, i was sure we were going to smash them. unc had been outplaying us all game until the last 4 minutes. tre stones hits a game tying mid-range jumper off of a rebound off of his own missed free throw to send the game to ot?? absolutely legendary. then tying the game on a free throw, missing the 2nd foul shot only for wendell to tip the ball to jg who gives it to tre for the last shot in which he air balls to wendell for a putback as time expires to win?? instant. classic. unbelievable. i just got off ft with my dad because i was so damn hype. this was the greatest basketball game i have ever watched bar none. there is no better rivalry in sports. it’s been 30 minutes and i’m still going wild.
