they say to put yarn in a cross design over a rabbit nest over night. if the cross design is messed up, the mother came. if the cross design is the same, the mother did not come. because i didn’t have yarn, i put carrots in a cross shape. i figured if she came, she could eat a little something herself, and feed her kits. this morning, the carrots were all there, but they were a little jumbled. to come to a concrete conclusion, i lifted the dead grass and rabbit hair. come to find out, the nest was empty! the kits had left! i hope they are out somewhere prospering and i wish them a lifetime full of happiness and safety. this whole ordeal with the bunnies makes me want to get one as a pet. apparently you can train them to use a litterbox like a cat.
which is cool and all, but i doubt bagel would approve.
