i really enjoy the new walk in the neighborhood
with btg. i know he loves it too because there are many new sights, sounds, and smells. our route is over an hour long with a lot of incline and decline.
there have been a few times where we’ve ran across an older neighbor that walks
around the same time we do. he always tells stories from his life, and it’s so
damn interesting. today, bagel and i crossed paths with him and we ended up
speaking for 40 minutes. he was telling stories about charlotte in the 80’s,
growing up in greensboro in the 60’s, and life in general. my favorite story
from tonight was how he ran into his momma’s best friend’s daughter one night
at a dance club in greensboro. he ended up sleeping with her and she gave him
the clap. lmaoooooooooooo.
i told him to write a book on his life, because all his stories are worthy of reading.
i wonder if one day i’ll be able to look back and tell that many stories about my life like he does.
and if i do, will i miss those times or will i still be busy writing new stories?
