on my walk today, one of my neighbors stopped me to talk. she asked about bagel and what kind of dog he is. of course, i tell her he’s a catahoula and explain how they hunt/bay wild hogs in packs. i ask her if she’s scared of dogs, and she says she is a little bit. i told her to pet bagel and that he doesn’t bite. a bit hesitant, i brought bagel close to her and she began petting him. we converse for a minute or two more before she asks if he were to have any kids, to let her know because she would like one of them. i let her know he’s neutered, but that i would keep an eye out for catahoula litters in the area.
i walked off smiling ear to ear because that’s the greatest compliment bagel and i have ever received.
