i knew it was coming, though i didn’t want to believe it. when news came chargers and phil were parting ways, everything around me stopped. i don’t understand how the team can move on from phil, not only from the standpoint that he’s the heart and soul of the team, but from a football standpoint of this past season. he came off of a 12-4 season in 2018, with 32 tds and 12 interceptions. i get it, 23tds and 20 interceptions in 2019, but he had the 29th ranked offensive line, missing his all-pro left tackle (blindside) and his probowl center. the offensive line was patchwork. then, half-way through the season, coach wiz was fired from his offensive coordinator position. i truly believe the chargers have the worst ran organization, if not in all of sports, definitely in the nfl. i’m so lucky the last time i got to see phil play in a chargers uniform was in a 16pt comeback on sunday night football primetime in a beautiful december night in pittsburgh. i’ll still root for the chargers, but i’m rooting for phil to win a superbowl more than ever now. if i had to choose, i’d like to see phil in indianapolis or in new england.
phil, i’m rocking with you until the wheels fall off.
my qb forever.
