after work tonight i took bagel on a walk. the skies were clear for the most part, with a few scattered clouds here and there. a quarter thru the walk, i saw a bright flash. i thought i was seeing things as there weren’t many clouds roaming the sky. sure enough as we walk a few more minutes, the flashes continue. it was lightning, which is something i’m terrified of. how ironic is that for someone who’s a san diego supercharger??? life’s funny like that sometimes. i worked nearly 8 hours today, so he was cooped up in the house for that long after our morning walk before i left. i noticed my anxiety getting worse, but i knew i had to walk bagel his full 2nd walk. not only does he deserve it, but important beings in our lives shouldn’t have to suffer because we are fearful. i took one look at him and continued. luckily we finished our walk before it began drizzling. when i say i love bagel, i really mean it. he teaches me many, many things. he teaches me how to be strong. he teaches me how to be committed through external pressures saying otherwise. he teaches me how to face my anxiety head-on. life truly is better with bagel and i’m a better person because of bagel.
i don’t know how i’ll ever end up paying him back.
