i hadn’t seen hassan in years, but we got up for
a charity tourney today. two things i found out: 1, i’m out of shape, and 2, i
miss basketball. my very first love was a ball and a basket. i fell in love
through swishes and sneakers on the blacktop. we made it to the semi’s, which
was great considering the whole team had never played together until today. he
said there’s another tourney in raleigh in august, and i’m looking forward to
bringing the ‘ship home then.
dear basketball….i’m looking forward to rekindling what we had years ago.
