bagel’s car harness came in today. besides me loving it, the harness craftsmanship seems to be of quality. it better be for how much i paid for it! lol. needing a carabiner to handle the harness, i went to rei to purchase one. seeing as there was a petsmart a block away and anticipating being in rei for less than 5 minutes, i decided to take bagel with me. he wore the harness, and we made a few extra pitstops. we went to petco to find a collar for his (8th!) birthday this saturday. there wasn’t any too appealing, but i bought him a few cans of wetfood for a treat on his big day. the lady at the counter gave him 2 cookies, one of which he counter-surfed for smh. i told her i promise he is not like this at home, although she has probably heard that a million times. i went to rei, got the carabiner, then we went to petsmart. nothing there we particularly liked, but in the collar aisle was a lady with her children. there were 3 of them. they were searching for a collar for their 7 week old chihuahua mix. she pet bagel and we shared our complaints of how difficult it is to find a collar we liked. finally, i hit sam’s club for water, carrots, salads, fiber granola bars, and strawberries. bagel stayed in the car, but it was for 10 minutes or so. the weather was mid-70’s with scattered rain so it wasn’t bad at all. we came home, i unloaded the groceries, and we took a 30 minute nap. it’s 6:58pm as i write. the sun is going down slowly leaving a gradient purple tint in its trail. bagel and i are about to embark on our evening walk, which i’m sure will be just as great, if not better, than our errands we ran earlier.
