we were playing full court yesterday when one of my teammates steps to the sideline hunched over for a minute or two. i didn’t make anything of it. i was already 2-0 on the day, so i was feeling good even though the shot wasn’t going down. i get the rebound, then drive-in. next thing you know, i’m trying to catch my balance then i either get disoriented or blackout for a split second. i don’t know which because it happened to quick. i had to sit down. i felt like something hard hit me in the back of my head. the guy said he got me with his bicep. it didn’t seem like it because biceps wouldn’t have got me this good. i’m pretty sure it was an elbow to the back of the head. he was playing chippy all game, which was cool with me, but it spilled over into something else. the crazy part is we paused the game when it happened, and he literally ran off the court. i end up not playing the rest of the night, but at least i got two wins. when i was talking with alan afterwards, he said the same dude hit my teammate earlier in the game and that’s why he was hunched over.
my head is throbbing, but i just took two tylenol, a shower, and i’m about to enjoy this finals game.
