500 calories, 2.18.21

lately i’ve been doing the elliptical fat burn program after work. it’s a total of 38 minutes. i usually start the incline at 12 and the level at 12, but at a certain point, the elliptical takes over and you can’t change anything but the incline. i guess it’s dependent on your initial speed, but i spend some doing the majority of the 38 minutes on level 20 (which feels like walking in wet cement) and others i spend the majority of the program on level 12. today, i noticed with 5 minutes left i had about 400 calories burned. thinking i could hit 500, i turnt it up a notch. about 4 minutes left, the elliptical switched me down to level 12, then to level 4 with 2 minutes remaining. i didn’t hit 500, but maybe if i turn up a little sooner, i will get it next time.

at least it gives me a challenge to look forward to whenever that’ll be.
