i’m not into sneakers much anymore, but i still keep up. i know, it doesn’t make much sense, but i always have an ear to the skreets just in case something drops that i like. i gave up collecting around 2013, so i haven’t really bought sneakers frequently since then. plus, these days i’m in dress shoes majority of the time so i wouldn’t even wear any sneakers if i did buy them. the year before i stopped collecting, there were two pairs that eluded me. it was the air jordan playoff 12’s and the lebron 9 big bangs. those two sneakers just so happened to release in the past month. i wasn’t able to get them at retail, but last night i put a bid in for both on stockx and goat. late last night, someone accepted my bid on stockx for the air jordan 12. this morning, someone accepted my bid on goat for the lebron 9. i’m excited for them to come in! these days i’m reaching back and getting things i never had the chance to at the time. although it does feel good, it makes me wonder what i’m missing right now.
perhaps i’m missing out, and if that should be the case, these things don’t make me feel as good as i thought them out to be in the first place.
