after 100 days in cambodian culture, we get
together to celebrate the life of who we lost. my dad’s best friend’s mom
passed away 100 days ago, so we drove to a cambodian temple for the occasion.
as we arrived, we brought fruit as others brought different types of food. the
monks prayed, then we all ate. it was a good time, as we celebrated her
life. afterwards, we went to my dad’s best friends house where he showed me his plants, the
different things he’s made out of wood from his yard, and his 85 benz that he
bought a few years ago that hasn’t been driven since 1995. the car was
beautiful, everything was quality constructed, and it even had an at&t
phone in the middle console.
it took us two hours to drive home, but a 2 hour drive is a small price to pay for quality time with family.
