a northeastern cookout run, 12.5.21

i ain’t get back home until 1am. it’s been a while since that’s happened, since charlotte really. hungry, i was able to find a joint in the town over open until 3am. when i pulled up it was a crazy line. i had nothing better to do than wait, so i was fucking with my fantasy line up. i ended up ordering they chicken finger dinner. it came with fries, onion rings, and a salad. it wasn’t bad at all tbh. the honey mustard wasn’t the best, but we up north, that’s just something i have to learn to deal with lol.

tonight was a cook out run, a not so cookout cookout run.

work has been so crazy, but the crazy part is it hasn’t been crazy and i still have no energy for anything outside of it. this is my first industry experience, but man, if every 9-5 is like this, idk how ima make it the next 40 years. something gotta budge. when i get home, i walk btg, but then i’m glued to my bed or my chair doing a whole bunch of nothing. my communication skills have been lacking lately, too which is terrible… i gotta get it right, otherwise i’ll crumble under the pressure of a 9-5.

good thing is i’m an april baby, so ima turn that pressure into diamonds.

it’s a friday night and i miss dono. chantay messaged me when chan told her about me going to his funeral, and she said her mom lost a friend at a young age. her mom says you never get over it. it’s been 32 years for her. it’s heartbreaking. there has to be more to this journey than our physical life.

spotify wrapped 21', 12.2.21

i joined spotify in 2019. all i remember from that wrapped was that my most listened to artist was k camp. last year for whatever reason, spotify wrapped didn’t work for me. hoping the same didn’t happen this year, when spotify wrapped came out i immediately checked. fortunately they gave me my stats for 2021. my most listened to artist was drake and my most listened to song was talk to me by drakeo the ruler featuring drake. definitely didn’t surprise me at all. ye was my number 3 artist which kinda surprised me. i thought he’d be number 2 for sure. drake is like a really, really good sitcom while ye is like a masterpiece movie. there’s a time and place for both, and for me it’s hard to compare the two. so drizzy is like the cosby show and ye is like silence of the lambs. i’m getting off topic, but yea, spotify is way better than apple music.

welcome december. so a few nights ago i checked my ebay saved searches and had a hit. it was for a so so def afroman figure. not only was it a buy-it-now, but the figure looked mint. it came in the box with the so so def mixtape! i purchased immediately, no questions asked. it’s crazy because the first one i saw on ebay way earlier on in the year, the figure came with no box and it had a fucked up knee joint. still, i was disappointed i missed out on that one. there was one a last month that i got outbid on. the figure appeared to be in good shape, but no box and a scuff on afroman’s left shoe. i was even more disappointed i lost that one because the figure was in better shape than the first. then when i saw the one listed over the weekend, i had to cop. it is out for delivery, so i’m hoping all is well when i receive it.

if it is, it’ll be a nice christmas present to myself.

everything went smoothly at the rmv today. i got in and eventually got out. the picture wasn’t too bad. it was a first take jake type situation. the only thing was to transfer an out of state license, it was $115 beans. dog, is it me or is that crazy expensive?? either way, it had to be done. afterwards, i passed a donut shop on the way back home. i was a little hungry so i stopped by. i got a skrawberry sprinkle and an apple cider donut. it wasn’t too bad, but it wasn’t krispy kreme. on the bright side, i took the day off from work so i’ll be chilling the rest of the day.

flannel collection, 11.29.21

lowkey my flannel collection been growing. this is all thanks to costco and madewell. costco has some good clothes, i mean damn, the flannels i’ve copped from them over the past two months have been really thick. plus they have side pockets. i think at this point i have 7 or 8. the madewell ones are pricey, but they are quality. what’s crazy is the costco joints are a quarter of the price and in some cases heavier. even though i’m super picky with my clothes, i’m always looking to add to my flannel collection, though i think my shirts right now will get me through the winter easily.

safe to say i’m satisfied with my recent finds.

ever since ye said it was all good just a week ago on h.a.m., it has been so applicable to life in so many times and ways. today was one of them. last week jt had 5tds and the colts beat the bills, while ekeler had 4tds and the chargers beat the steelers on primetime. this week?? colts lost to the bucs and the chargers got beat by the broncos. plus i’m finna take two mean l’s in fantasy.

hopefully next week i can get back to winning and say it was all bad just a week ago, smh.

i was looking for a photo of money and i to post for his gday tomorrow and i came across a video with you in it. i don’t even know why we was out, but it was you, dbaze, cam, and i. we were all downtown tryna figure out something to do. you know how we get. we can’t ever make decisions lmao. although the video was from 2016, it was the first time i heard your voice since september. it made me tear up man. i miss you like crazy. it be times that i be wanting to call you up and fill you in on life, but i know i can’t. that’s just something my spirit hasn’t accepted yet.

i took bagel out like 10 minutes ago and it was snowing. a light snow, but still! this new to me, i’m from the south lol. the seasons change right before our eyes and yet we don’t even realize it.
