More than Friends Freestyle

More than Friends Freestyle was a song originally planned to release end of year 2024, but the timing didn’t work out as it didn’t sound quite right during initial recordings. The New Year ended up passing by, and I turned my focus to the leading singles for Staying, Over Leaving Early. It was only when I was going through the inventory of written songs after Thanksgiving 25’ that I came across More than Friends again. I had about a month to rerecord, mix and master, and release before the turn of 2026 and I decided to go for it. We made it just in the nick of time as More than Friends dropped on the 30th of December. All the feelings I had when I wrote More than Friends, I still feel over a year later.

In fact, many of those lyrics I feel now more than ever.
